We approach the study of psychology as a branch of science that studies human behavior and mental processes. Our School emphasizes applied psychology which also recognizes the influence of the arts, culture, and real-world experience. Our teaching values the development of the whole person throughout the lifespan.

The 37-unit MS/CP program prepares aspiring unlicensed master’s level mental health professionals for diverse roles in clinical, business, industry, and organizational settings.  


We offer two tracks: Business, Organizational, and Consulting Psychology and Consulting and Applied Psychology which may be completed in 1.5-2 years. Students train for opportunities in both clinical and business settings and for future doctoral studies.

The 60 unit, MS/CP/MFT program prepares you to become a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT) and is also a pathway for future doctoral studies.


Our program takes 2-3 years to complete and meets all the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements.


Grounded in an integrative, depth-oriented approach, we emphasize clinical training, community engagement, and diversity in our academic, theoretical, and learning approaches.

The 67 unit, MS/CP/MFT/LPCC program is a unique option for you to pursue clinical licenses as both a marriage and family therapist (MFT) and professional clinical counselor (LPCC), and offers a pathway for future doctoral studies.


Our program takes 2-3 years to complete and meets all the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements.

Embark on an educational journey with Notre Dame de Namur University and realize your aspirations. The Bachelors of Arts in Psychology Degree Completion Program offers a direct route for anyone with 45 - 78 credits from a college or university to complete their degree online.


Additional information:

  • Ability to transfer in a total of 78 units (you will be graduating with 120 undergraduate units total)
  • Concurrent enrollment during the first semester is welcome 
  • Up to 12 units of graduate level courses at the price of undergraduate courses
